nascar released the image from the garage. steve phelps said in hindsight he should have referred to it as "alleged". said this was the only pull down tied in this manner and he asked the 29 other tracks to check their garages and they did not find another one tied in the same fashion.

I think I would have used a heaving line myself (not a loop). If you are really good, and have a lot of rope and time, a monkey fist is cool.

I feel like I'm going crazy scanning Twitter. So many people saying "it's a noose! it's a noose!" The FBI said it was right in the release. They just concluded it wasn't related to Wallace. I think there are a number of people who believe the FBI said it wasn't a noose? I don't know why that is.

1. how long was this up?
2. is this like some permanent assigned garage for bubba wallace?

i've made knots and nooses out of ropes before, if it's some jackass employee there messing around, it's one thing. if it just so appeared right before bubba wallace was to arrive and use that specific garage, that's a whole new ball game and the FBI got this one so wrong.

Since at least Oct. 2019. It’s the only garage in all the tracks used by NASCAR to have a noose tie knot. The stall isn’t permanently Bubba Wallace’s.

So the black driver just happened to get that garage was a huge coincidence? He could have had 40 other garages but was assigned that one?

It wasn't there at the beginning of that event weekend in October, then it was there by the end. Seems like it should be pretty easy to find out who did it or at least what team had that garage.

I also think Wallace being assigned the garage with the noose was not a coincidence.

if it's been there forever and is known throughout the racing circuit as the noose garage.... yeah. i doubt some guy working around the track making 12/hr is assigning garages. it's probably done by some suit in an office who probably only walks around the track the day of the race.
