The deal isn’t terrible, except on a dollar vs OBP scale, but it doesn’t really solve a problem, either. But 1 year beats 3.

I’m more ok with it considering all they really did is trade Cesar for Didi and add another million or two, which I’m fine with because I think Didi is the better player of the two. I don’t think it makes them a markedly better team than last year, but I’ll live with just filling a need.

Definitely okay with $14M for a year. Much better than the disaster I anticipated.
