Through last night, the Flyers are tied for sixth in the league in points since Gordon took over on December 17th. Now, some of that is that they have played more games than anyone over that period but there is no question they have been a different (better) team over the past six weeks.

That very question is what got me interested in researching for my post. I guess they'll have to see what happens over the next three months but the team, especially the youngsters, really seem to be responding to him. I would imagine that management saw Gordon as little more than a caretaker for the team until they brought JQ on next season. But, like the Cleveland Indians in Major League, the team had other ideas. If nothing else, they are more enjoyable to watch and it got Hart to the bigs to show he belongs.
