The #Flyers have recalled goaltender Carter Hart from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. In addition, the club has placed goaltender Anthony Stolarz on Injured Reserve.

Don't love the decision, feels more like a "We need to do something to put butts in seats" decision instead of a he is ready type thing.

Between playing Hart, firing Hakstol when it happens, and the inevitable trade that will come I am sure it is all about getting people to come to games.
Hart has been great but has only played a couple of months of professional hockey. As long as they are willing to send him back to the AHL if he struggles then it is fine, just don't want it to be a bad situation for him to walk into with the mess the big club is right now.

I guess it's hard to know - Neuvirth's wife was due in the next day or so, not sure what his status would be. If he's out I think they would have had to call Hart up regardless, but I'm surprised Lyon was sent down as part of this. I guess that would mean Neuvirth is ready for tomorrow, riding with Hart/Neuvirth.
