I think they're kinda fucked either way, but the only salvageable way to do it is probably a clean break from Colangelo. It might not save you this year, but the ship will at least be righted for next year, which is the end of the window.

If they keep him, they're a laughing stock. This won't go away short of hard proof that it wasn't him. They have to know that.

I think "weird" is putting it mildly. He's going to get sued.

Saying Embiid missed the season because he didn't tell doctors his knee hurt before the Houston game last year, and that it cost the team the playoffs, and that he would trade Embiid for Porzingis because he was "such a smarter player."
