I wasn't sure where else to put this, but they are going to be building a Top Golf in NE Philly at the site of the old Nabisco factory.
Yes son. I'm the best mono-thingy guy there ever was.

The list of golfers who look like they are going to miss the cut at the Players is something.

What's with Phil Mickelson and his going off of the reservation in his private life. A while back he was fortunate to skate away unscathed from an insider trading mess https://www.golfdigest.com/story/phils- ... ing-escape.
Now he was found to be involved with the program to slip kids through the side door into college using Singer's services. https://www.ocregister.com/2019/03/14/g ... ry-scheme/
He claims that he never went too far with the consulting company, if one chooses to believe him.
I'm getting the feeling that he may be a good golfer but a bit if a bum off of the course.

Rory is insanely talented, too, and hit some of the best clutch shots on 17 and 18 I've seen. His drive on 18 was mammoth, dead straight, and aimed on a dangerous line if he mis-hit at all. Almost hooked his iron into the green a bit too far, though.

He's easy to like on the course.

Great finish for Furyk, too. Will help his hall-of-fame case.

Don't think it really affects Furyk's case. 18 wins and a major (and shooting 58!) should get him in.

Rory is probably the best player in the world when he's firing on all cylinders. Could make an argument for DJ as well but man, 15 PGA Tour wins despite not playing on the tour full time in his career (has like a 9.8% win percentage) and 4 majors before 30. Sheesh.

Looked at one time that Jordan would catch him but the man looks broken right now.

Jake Owen, country singer and avid golfer, apparently was not a big fan of The Match, a much-hyped 18-hole pay-per-view event won by Phil Mickelson in extra holes over Tiger Woods -- with a winner-take-all payday of $9 million -- on the day after Thanksgiving.

And Owen let Mickelson know about it.

A day after The Match, held in Las Vegas, Owen was at Jordan Spieth's wedding, which Mickelson also attended. Owen told Barstool Sports' Fore Play podcast recently that he ran into Mickelson and made it clear that he didn't think The Match came off as billed, and that he thought he should get his money back.

"So I walked over to him," Owen said on the podcast. "I was like, 'Hey Phil, you owe me f---ing $29.99!' I was like, 'For wasting four hours of my life with the s---tiest golf I've ever seen! You guys hype this whole thing up about the big match? You guys couldn't even make three birdies between the two of you? I want my $29.99 and apologize to me for some s--- golf!'"

In a story that he confirmed via Twitter, Mickelson, 48, took out a wad of $100 bills, put one down and said, "I won 90,000 of these things yesterday. Take a 100 and go f--- yourself!''

Mickelson, 48, who won his 44th PGA Tour title earlier this year, has more than $90 million in official career earnings and, according to Golf Digest, earns another $40 million annually in endorsement income.

Owen has been a partner of Spieth's at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and other golf events and said alcohol played a role in approaching Mickelson.

Owen and Mickelson apparently have settled any differences they had as the pair played together during the pro-am for the Waste Management Phoenix Open in January

I'm not a huge Mickelson fan but I love that story. Only thing that would've made it better is if Phil added "whoever you are".
