Screw the Mouse, we got the Lyon (Flyers III)

Those early 00s Ottawa series were bad but not embarrassing like this.

Neuvirth is looking on the right side while Crosby is scoring on the left lol it's the best picture of the Flyers goaltending in the last 30 years

Played this with all the intensity of an early December Tuesday night game against the Coyotes

This is it. Hakstol may not be the greatest coach but it's hard to make chicken salad out of the chicken shit that is on this roster. The best Flyers in this series have been the under twenty-five year olds. Hextall is needs to have a big off season. He'll have some cap room and a vet or three to put onto the trade market. No room for signings like Weise. Need a reliable goal tender. Can't wait for Hart or Sandstrom to become starters. That will probably take two or three seasons.

And Hakstol. He might not be awful, but he's not great, either. Keep looking for great.

It’s time to trade G and Simmonds
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Hakstol's primary job when he was hired was to bring along the young players. He's done that. Look at this series, the under 25's have played well. It's the vets that haven't shown up. IDK what the coach can do to light a fire under their tails. They know what they have to do but haven't produced.

Simmonds should be traded at the draft. He's going to command too high a salary for the Flyers to match.
Piss off.

It was mentioned a few times above; it isn't so much that they are losing, it is HOW they are losing. Completely outclassed in every facet of the game. Last night, they literally looked like they would've rather been anyplace else. No fire whatsoever. That was basically Game 7 for them and they showed zero interest. For me, three guys can hold their head up today - Konecny, Patrick and Provorov. If I had wasted money on tickets to that game, I'd be writing demanding a refund. I'm sorry but you are not going to convince me that the Pens are THIS much better than the Flyers. It is clear the Pens just want it way more than the Flyers do.

Not that it matters, but I start Mrazek and I start Hagg and sit MacDonald in Game 5. If Coots is ready to go, Filppula or Lehtera sits. Let Lindblom play. Frankly, if Coots is anything less than 100%, I just sit him rather than risk a more significant injury.

Herein lies the trap, you can't sit MacDonald over Manning.. and coach sits neither.

I'm cool sitting either of them. I just picked MacDonald because Manning is willing to drop the gloves (though almost always without the desired result).

The Pens are significantly better though top to bottom. Maybe not as much difference as the scores indicate but they are a championship level team and the Flyers could have easily missed the playoffs.

Coots talking, basically repeating the company line of day-to-day, feeling better every day, can't rule anything in or out, etc.

Looks like Hagg is in tomorrow. Think a goal of not getting embarrassed again tomorrow is probably what they should shoot for.

that would have more prudent than hextall's half in/half out bullshit that only led to mediocrity. i can't imagine they keep simmonds around with one year left on his deal, but you never with hextall because i'm not sure he has any idea what he's doing.

Penguins are also coming off back to back titles and had a ton of injuries. They don't care about the regular season just like the Cavs haven't in the past. Just them getting in is enough for them to win it all.
