few of my favorite roy memories were just pictures. someone already posted the one of him taking that picture with the guy with his jersey on.

the other was either during sandy or during a snowstorm or when cbp was set for a hockey winter classic and he was out there jogging in shorts. i haven't been able to find it yet.

Pretty sure he moved. Thought he was here for a charity thing.

Pretty remarkable legacy. I don't think there's anyone who has to back track and say, "I gave him a hard time when he was alive, but" since everyone could see he was a standup guy.

If not, screw 'em.

this was from september
Since he still maintains a home in the area – and obviously spends a lot of time there with his kids in school here – the most logical question was to ask whether the 2008 World Series MVP would ever consider calling Citizens Bank Park home again in the near future.

Michael Young‏ @MikeyY626
I’ll never forget Aug ‘13. Doc and I were two months away from retirement. He was hurt, clearly. He was still pitching tho. One day in Wrigley he was throwing 83, and all over the place. I go to the mound and he just said “everything hurts.”
He wouldnt come out. Always fighting.

I was at that game at wrigley, last time I saw him pitch

Phillies came back from 5-0 to win on a bloop single by Young in the 9th and I got bombed off old styles frank Gallagher style

RIP Roy. You meant so much to the game and to the Phillies community. You will be deeply missed.

Another great one gone too early. Feels just like yesterday you were getting me pumped up for the season in spring training. Rest Easy Roy
