Yes. They have the option to defer 2018 pick if it's in the top 10 (which they obviously would). If they defer we get 2019 unprotected 1st plus a 2020 3rd rounder. I'd be shocked if even with injuries the Blues finish in the bottom 10 this year. The 2018 draft is looking really strong at the top, not sure about depth yet.

The kids can play. Better keep them in the AHL for 3 more years just to be safe

They were the last team to make the playoffs and they probably should be fighting for a spot again this year. Don't know what else you expect out of them. Hextall probably isn't going to give you the Paul Holmgren type of deals we have seen in the past.

I think they'll be relevant just really young outside the goalies, G, Jake, Simmer... the East is so hard to make the playoffs in with Pitt, Wash, NYR, Columbus, MTL, TOR, Ottawa, BOS... gotta hope a couple of these teams drop off since Carolina looks better and Tampa will probably be back.... but the good thing is in hockey, you really just have to sneak in and the playoffs are their own beast

It was really good to see Lyon play as well as he did last night. If/When one of Elliott or Neuvirth goes down, there is a decent back up in the system to be brought up right away. No need to sign a junky journeyman or trade for one to fill in the gap.

Sixers are already 'relevant' since they are on National TV what 25 or so times... they'll be more relevant when they start winning games which should happen soon

Yeah I was assuming he meant relevant in the championship picture, which only the Eagles could be, but that is just because of the nature of the NFL. Sixers have zero chance this year and Flyers have like 1% chance.

I don't have a good handle on the Flyers roster for the upcoming season. Any chance that both Morin and Sanheim make the team? I'm guessing no.

The recent articles I've read had a decent chance of Morin, Sanheim, and Hagg all making it with Gostisbehere, Provorov, and Gudas... with Manning as the 7th guy... we'll see... Sanheim adds a big scoring threat from the D which may help his cause
