Claire Smith, former Inquirer columnist and Buck County native, won the 2017 JG Taylor Spink Award give out by the BBWAA! Congrats!! She's actually the first woman to ever receive it. She'll get inducted during HOF weekend.

Someone just asked on Lebatard the question of "if there are no runners on base why can't you shift the catcher to play another spot on the field?".

Hilarious thought but definitely not legal. Wish it was.

The catcher would have to go back after the 2nd strike anyway.
