Is there any way Reed is 2 over on 17/18 knowing he has to only go 1 over to win?

No they are a different kind of bad. There are plenty of people that did dumb stuff in college and also plenty of people that have disowned their family. Hell, Tiger just put himself and others in danger driving impaired not too long ago, which is one of the worst things you can do. Cheating on wife and driving impaired isn't a good combo.

I'm not sure why 'other people are assholes' is a defense of this asshole.

And tiger was probably in a medically induced stupor and had no idea what he was doing.
