Little Dickie Kerr. Shoeless Joe. Chick and Lefty. Those were the days. The Black Sox were never convicted of anything but were throwed out of baseball anyways. All the evidence was stolen from the Chicago courthouse.

Chicago. What a town.

NL East only division with all teams .500 plus.

Marlins have the best RD and Phillies the worst D:

Small sample size early May stuff is pretty kewl.

The Brewer starting rotation is 12-3 with a 2.44 ERA. (That's leaving out Garza). The four guys who have achieved this are Kyle Lohse, Wily Peralta, Marco Estrada and Yovani Gallardo.

Troy Tulowitzki is hitting .385/.487/.729.

Prince Fielder is hitting .208 with a Slg Pct. of .311. Ewwwwwwwwwww.

The Dogass Braves have a team OBP of .298.

Those fish have played 21 games at home. 16-5 record in the monstrosity. 2-10 on the road. That's not sustainable is it!

Really like that Yelich. Maybe we can get him.

Anyways, they have only one hit and no runs after three innings vs. the Mets. This is the start of the regression to the Marlin.

Marlins only scored one today but it was enough to vanquish the Mets.

Meanwhile, my Mariners have been hot lately. Just scored two in the tenth vs. the A's. Stupid hat Rodney just struck out a guy to save it. mariners had an 8 game losing streak at one point. Taijuan Walker and Paxson are out. Iwakuma has only one start. King Felix has been sick and kinda struggling.

Yet, the Ms are 17-15.

Yowsa.

Really good pods from Jonah Keri with Rob Neyer on the state and future of baseball analysis and Keith Law on his evaluation process

9th inning grand slam tied the game. Clinton's 2B got the save with a 1-2-3 inning after knocking in two insurance runs in the top of the 12th. Jayson Stark needs to write a column about this game.

Keri is a Canadian. Just read his book about the Expos. "Up, Up and Away."

It was good. But his spelling sucks. Centre field defence and stuff. Other than that, pretty interesting and fun read. John Boc-a- belllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaa.

Listening to this now. It IS really good. Everyone who is a fan would do well to check it out.

Looks like I listened to the one from Monday. Had Neyer and a former mR. Met who wrote what might be a decent book about mascots. This podcast was really good. Found out Steve Bye-Bye Balboni still holds the season home record for the Royals. They also said a lot of stuff that really makes sense.
