My newly promoted boss came in and gave me SRO tix today at like 10 this morning, and goddamn, that was a great game. Myers' AB was easily the most exciting 2nd inning pitcher AB I've ever seen. It seemed like it really rattled CC, and the crowd was chanting "CC" a la "Hextall" and that made me smile. Vic's grand slam unleashed a bedlam I've seen very few times at sporting events. My voice hurts, but I must say, a 6PM start time allowed me to have a few beers and still get home in time to wake up feeling nearly passable tomorrow morning. Go Phils!

I can't wait to read the game thread. Game was fantastic, probably best I've ever been to. The crowd was insane. Could you guys hear everyone chanting "CC CC CC CC CC" - it was awesome, and maybe it was a coincidence but it didn't see to help him.
I was near a woman holding a sign that said "The Phillies are on Pire"
Yeah. Pire.
The entire section was on her, and she either didn't hear or was ignoring everyone. "YOU LEFT OFF THE H" "VICTORINO IS ON PIRE" "WHY ARE THEY WALKING HOWARD, HE ISN'T ON PIRE"
Good times. You probably had to be there.

I can't go on enough about the CC CC CC chant, I could not stop laughing. Sometimes I really love these ass holes.
I also met the guy who is the reason we won the game. You say "no", I say "Yes."
He told me he was wearing his lucky jersey that he hadn't washed since ever, showed me his lucky rock from Ireland, and showed me his lucky coin. He was at the game Saturday too, so that's his proof.
