On that NBDL topic, I don't understand why the league has their own draft, then those players can be grabbed by other main clubs anyway. That'd be like the International League having its own draft with players that were already in AAA somewhere and might sorta maybe be tied to the Phillies after the draft even though they're on the IronPigs but they can be grabbed by any other MLB team at any point. It doesn't make any sense. The NBDL team should be players that were drafted or signed by the main club and weren't good enough to make the 15-man roster (or 12 under this new setup), with those players being exclusive to the main club.

EXAMPLE:
76ers = Embiid, Simmons, Covington, Stauskas, McConnell, Noel, Okafor, Saric, Grant, #24 (Malik Beasley), PG, 12th man
87ers = #26 (Stephen Zimmerman), Holmes, Wood, Thompson, Canaan, Marshall, UDFAs

Owners probably don't want to increase the number of players they have a formal contract with.

Players probably don't want a system where it's easier to send union members to the d league.

Among other reasons.

and if you're a D-league player, you don't want to be available to only one team

15 players seems like more than enough for an NBA squad to have exclusive rights to

even if you just give each team 2 more exclusive guys, that's 58 players that the rest of the league doesn't have access to. you'd be watering down the league by almost 4 full teams

Maybe the NBA could go to varsity and JV teams and give the fans two games for the price of one.

Speaking of which, I hope the first Jakarr doesn't make the Sixers.

They released him last season and he signed a two year deal with the nuggets.

DiM, you need to fact check before you dish your taeks. Especially when it comes to Pac's beloved hero.

So it's been a couple of pages since I spinned out another trade rumor inspired fake trade:

"NBADraft.net
‏@nbadraftnet
Another PHX rumor: Rich Paul will push to have Eric Bledsoe moved this offseason putting Kris Dunn in play at 4 as well."

Sixers deal Okafor to PHX for Bledsoe & #14 pick

PG Bledsoe
SG Luwawu (#14)
SF Covington
PF Simmons
C Embiid/Noel

Bledsoe is 26 and under contract for the next 3 years on a $15M average. 37% on 3PT. Solid PG #s across the board.

Bledsoe will be an all star next year if you make that trade and he stays healthy.

It's so silly how little people apparently think of okafor but at this point I would be good with that fake trade.

I'd need it just because of how brittle Bledsoe is.

Also I'd want to take Baldwin.

I'm with you on Baldwin > Luwawu

Only chose Timothe because Draft Express had Baldwin off the board at #14. I think Baldwin is moving up most people's boards- might be a top 10 pick.

I think we've overrated Luwawu. I'd love him at 24 or 26.

I heard someone give a shump comp for him. Seems like a solid optimistic projection.
