Recent manuscripts discovered in a Scandinavian temple are said to prophesize the coming of "The Woognan Beast" who will deliver the thunder through metal hoops. The meaning of these texts is still being debated.

If all else fails maybe Cleveland takes Wiggins and we take Embiid and then a trade goes down. Perception would have us giving up less than if we "traded up," I think

I think it's more likely they are talking to ford/other insiders directly hearing all of this and we are just getting some of it.

Really don't want to trade up. Stay at 3/10 and let the chips fall where they may

Jake Fischer ‏@JakeLFischer 1m
There seems to be a growing consensus around the league that the Orlando Magic will be drafting No. 1 tonight when all is said and done.

really warming up to Exum, but only if they flip MCW for another pick. If the plan is to run an offshoot of the Spurs system long term, having a 6 6 pg that should theoretically be able to use his quickness to penetrate at will would be ideal, he's going to be able to see over the top of the defense as well. Also, his accent is stellar.

I'm very excited to see how it all plays out. But I don't even know what to hope for anymore. This draft and the top guys in it have been hyped for so long I don't know what to make of them. There are some really good players in this draft and some really, really good players. If the goal is to get that franchise player, I just don't know if it's attainable in this draft. It's often been said how deep this draft is and it is deep. But, if your goal is to get that one transcendent guy to build your franchise around, the depth of the draft is largely meaningless if that one guy isn't there.

Wiggins is going to have a long and successful career. He's a very good defender already, with a good (but not great) shot. Combined with his athletic prowess, he's going to help any team he plays for. But the combination of a poor handle and questions about his mentality work against his becoming the alpha dog for a championship team. The most likely scenario is he ends up being a really good second or third guy on a team.

As I've said before, I think Parker is the larger version of James Harden: A scoring savant with little interest or ability defensively. He'll be a star because he can put the ball in the basket consistently. Questions about his athletic ability or struggling with size don't concern me. He'll find a way to score. But his defensive deficiencies plus questions about his weight suggest to me it's unlikely he'll be the number 1 guy on a championship team.

Everybody knows I love Embiid. Of all the players in this draft I think he's got the greatest chance to be "The Guy." I'm not saying he will; just that he's got the best chance. The problem, of course, is his health. It's perfectly possible to come back from his injuries with no recurring effect. But, if his bone issues are congenital and/or the result of poor nutrition and/or his size, the issues may get worse, not better, with time.

Like Wiggins, Exum will probably enjoy a long and successful career. His shooting and turnover issues will undoubtedly get better with age and experience. But will it all come together enough to make him "The Guy?" Possible, but I have to believe the odds are against it. And if the Sixers (or any other team) plan to move him off the ball, that's just another complicating factor.

The next tier of guys (Vonleh, Smart, Randle, Gordon) will all be good pieces, but it's hard to see any of them moving the needle significantly. And even the next tier (McDermott, Stauskas, etc.) are likely to have very good careers.

So, there's lots of talent to be had and I trust Hinkie's evaluation and wheeling & dealing skills to get the most from the draft. But, if the goal is to get "The Guy," I'm not sure this is the draft for it.

Per several sources, Sixers were among teams calling agents last night searching for players willing to being drafted and stashed overseas.
