Yeah it was a 20-17 type game that could have gone either way, which was about what I expected. But we made several big mistakes and they made few if any.

Most frustrating game I can remember since the Giants on the road in 2001. But they had beaten us like ten times in a row at that point, and we ended up winning.

Kind of like how it sets up for a must win (playoff seeding wise) in Log Angeles, though

So if we win vs the Rams, we are sitting real pretty to clinch the bye. If we don't, then we are in trouble

yep - rams and vikings would both have a leg-up on the birds. rams have 3 conference losses which is a good thing. they'd have the head-to-head over the eagles which is a bad thing. very much hoping the vikings get a second conference loss (could come against the panthers this week on the road or possibly in green bay for sunday night football which could be aaron rodgers return) and then we'd get into a whole clusterhullabaloo of tiebreak stuff. this is all assuming that 13-3 is the tiebreak record.

next week's game will tell us more.

As much as it would be great for the Packers to beat the Vikings, I'd probably prefer to keep Rodgers out of the playoffs at this point.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they lost to the Browns this week

Doug said he didn't challenge the forward lateral because things weren't going good at the time and he was afraid of losing another timeout

Ertz is in the concussion protocol but will stay with the team out west

yeah, that was pretty much obvious. wasn't on the gdt for this but that stupid spot challenge pretty much precluded this one.

So he was afraid to lose a timeout when the result would have been getting the ball back instead of giving the ball to Seattle into Eagles territory? I would say that is worth the risk of the timeout at that point.

I think for the first time it felt like Doug coached a bit scared. Normally, he's more aggressive with his decisions and playcalling, yet last night it seemed like he was managing not to lose the game, instead of to win it.

Perhaps the Seattle home advantage fucked with this head.

Play calling seemed conservative, there seemed like a lot of flags, the O-line got tired, the D came up small & got tired chasing (the new entrant into MVP chatter) Wilson into the parking lot every play, no Seahawks turnovers (might be wrong), dancing & working on celebrations took a front seat to play prep (I've had that pasted on me all damn day by the forking Redskins fans), luck did not favor the bird for a change, and ...

Basically everything went sideways for the Eagles last night. It must be what it felt like to play the Eagles these past weeks.

Glad it is out of their system. Lets get down to business.

Do they have anyone assigned to just watch TV? The broadcast called it right away.

Only 7 seconds, right? You would think that teams would get access to a real time feed at the stadium as part of the broadcast deal, but clearly not.

i felt like while seattle didn't use their full playclock, they also didnt super rush to the line. there was time for a replay on tv prior to the play happening.

also weird was that most teams when they run a play quick do like an off tackle or something -- seattle ran that flea flicker reverse..
