He will bar access. I'm very confident this will be done. You need to cultivate your message through media and delegitamize unfriendly media. That's one of the first things you do.

I don't think it's realistic that he'd revoke press passes or anything. The Trump playbook is to just threaten to sue, or sue those that speak out against him. I'm sure we will get a lot of that, but i mean you can only sue so many people.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

Until now, the Trump playbook didn't include the full power of the executive branch of the United States.

He blacklisted those same entities during the campaign--he didn't need to threaten a lawsuit, he just did it. We have no reason to think he wouldn't do the same in the White House.

he revoked the press credentials of Univision, Buzzfeed, Politico, Washington Post, Huffington Post, Des Moines Register and plenty of of other smaller outlets while he was running for President. Why should we assume he now won't?

Alex:
Alex Jones wrote:“He said, Listen, Alex, I just talked to kings and queens of the world, world leaders, you name it, but he said it doesn’t matter, I wanted to talk to you, to thank your audience, and I’ll be on the next few weeks to thank them,” Jones recounted. “I said is this is a private call? And he said no, I want to thank your viewers, thank your listeners for standing up for this republic, we know what you did early on, throughout this campaign, standing up for what’s right.”

Jones has floated outlandish theories in the past — in the video announcing Trump’s call, he says of Democrats “they stole five states on Nov. 8 but still lost, and this whole criminal multinational enterprise that has hijacked a nation, ladies and gentlemen, is now coming down” — and has been a fairly steadfast Trump supporter, regularly interviewing longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone on his shows.

“We finally have people in Washington who actually listen to the people and don’t buy the propaganda of the big main-line corporations that are using weaponized media to mind-control simple-minded people,” Jones said in the video announcing that Trump had called him.

if Democrats stole 5 states why didn't they just steal a few more and win?

I always love how people like Jones and Trump can project. I wonder if they're even aware of the hypocrisy.

sorry, i probably contributed to a lot of the doom and gloom here today.

but just think, we're something like 60k people changing their minds in MI/WI/PA from a female democratic president, and pickups in both the senate and the house. 1.5ish million more people will have voted for hillary clinton. out of 129 million votes cast, one eagles stadium full of people switching their minds changes the entire narrative.

its gut wrenching that what might almost be statistical noise turned everything wrong but there is some reason to be hopeful.

from his 60 Minutes interview:

“It’s a great form of communication. Now do I say I’ll give it up entirely?” he told Stahl. “I’m not saying I love it, but it does get the word out. When you give me a bad story or when you give me an inaccurate story or when somebody other than you and another -- a network, or whatever, ‘cause of course, CBS would never do a thing like that right? I have a method of fighting back.”

many writeups have taken this part out, for some reason

What's even the likelihood where we're in a position where this is recoupable after four years? What does four years of Ben fucking Carson telling schools they have to teach kids the earth is less than 7,000 years old and unfavorable press is met with lawsuits and threats from the fucking president and deportation forces are roaming the streets?

It's fucking over. We're literally watching our country die.

I've certainly been very negative today. I do think we can win in the future, but it will take a lot of work and also constant vigilance. i don't think 'giving them a chance' will do much good since his first big move was to hire a man who headed a racist news outlet, and I hope more people just realize this.

No. It's not over. Effect local change. Get on the school board if you want to make sure your kids don't get fed that crap. Volunteer in 2017 for local elections and 2018 for national ones. Give money to organizations that do good. And take a deep breathe; remember, we have Embiid.
