It's amazing they can recruit when killing so many of the population they are trying to recruit.

Three years after the consent decree, the Justice Department went back to court to say the Trumps were not complying with the settlement. The claim was not resolved before the decree expired.
Then, in 1982, Trump Management and eight other New York City landlords were hit with a class-action discrimination lawsuit by a housing advocacy group. Two years later, they settled by agreeing to rent one of every four vacant apartments in some neighborhoods to blacks, according to a New York Times account from the time.

They had a consent decree with the feds in the 1970s and still didn't rent to blacks into the 80s!!!Three years after the consent decree, the Justice Department went back to court to say the Trumps were not complying with the settlement. The claim was not resolved before the decree expired.

Oh I'm sorry, he only publicly announced he's voting for him and is NOT endorsing him. Because those are different!

Really think how McMullin took off spooked some of the ambitious elected GOPers in Utah. If Hatch's seat comes open in 2018, last thing Chaffetz wants to deal with in the primary is a guy who won Utah's electoral votes two years earlier.

Are there rumors he's retiring?

I'm not sure that I understand the calculus here though. I get your point, but does he really think that his best option is to publicly support (but not endorse) a candidate who will likely have 70% of the state's voters against him? At best, the state GOP is evenly split between Trump and McMullin.
At this point, he's already shit the bed by ever endorsing Trump (a totally unnecessary move in what is typically the safest of GOP safe states). Seems to me that his best move is to just lay low for the next 12 days, and if that hypothetical primary happens in 2018, to just attack McMullin for being an opportunist who didn't work within the party to help improve things.
