Jason Chaffetz re-endorses Trump.

Oh I'm sorry, he only publicly announced he's voting for him and is NOT endorsing him. Because those are different!

ISIL set a sulfur mine processing plant near Mosul on fire and the cloud it created is INSANE. People are going to suffer.

It's amazing they can recruit when killing so many of the population they are trying to recruit.

many of the fighters are not from the region they are trying to take over. Many are European, and thus why it's a big deal that many have EU passports and can go back and forth. They've taken men from villages around Mosul to use as human shields as the forces get closer.

Iranian-backed forces will hit Tal Afar as the rest go for Mosul and now we are preparing for Raqqa in Syria. they're going to try to take out ISIL.

Black applicants rejected by Trump housing speak out
They had a consent decree with the feds in the 1970s and still didn't rent to blacks into the 80s!!!

Three years after the consent decree, the Justice Department went back to court to say the Trumps were not complying with the settlement. The claim was not resolved before the decree expired.
Then, in 1982, Trump Management and eight other New York City landlords were hit with a class-action discrimination lawsuit by a housing advocacy group. Two years later, they settled by agreeing to rent one of every four vacant apartments in some neighborhoods to blacks, according to a New York Times account from the time.

Two years later, they settled by agreeing to rent one of every four vacant apartments in some neighborhoods to blacks, according to a New York Times account from the time.

The other night Maddow aired an interview with one of the rental agents from the 60s. He said that Fred Trump told him "you know we don't rent to n----rs" with Donald in the room. He said that the same processes stayed in place once Donald took over the operations of the rental management company.

Now, I get that times were different back then, but it's not as if Trump has spent the last 30 years doing minority outreach to make up for his companies' discriminatory past.

Really think how McMullin took off spooked some of the ambitious elected GOPers in Utah. If Hatch's seat comes open in 2018, last thing Chaffetz wants to deal with in the primary is a guy who won Utah's electoral votes two years earlier.

Are there rumors he's retiring?

He said this was his last term in 2012, but has walked that back partially. He's 82, running for re-elect at 84 means serving into your 90s.

I'm not sure that I understand the calculus here though. I get your point, but does he really think that his best option is to publicly support (but not endorse) a candidate who will likely have 70% of the state's voters against him? At best, the state GOP is evenly split between Trump and McMullin.

At this point, he's already shit the bed by ever endorsing Trump (a totally unnecessary move in what is typically the safest of GOP safe states). Seems to me that his best move is to just lay low for the next 12 days, and if that hypothetical primary happens in 2018, to just attack McMullin for being an opportunist who didn't work within the party to help improve things.

not sure how any "calculus" concerning having licked drumpf's dingleberried anus can work out well for any Rs either now or post 11/8. It was a mistake, it is a mistake, & will be a mistake that leaves an ugly mark. Because drumpf is ugliness made flesh, in practically any direction, and being affirmative about him, in any direction, marks you.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Not sure it's a good decision, but there are no good options, only a series of bad ones that it's pretty tough to say which is least bad. Though endorse, unendorse, fake half re-endorse is probably not the least bad path.

Republicans have decided to investigate the sure-to-be corrupt Clinton administration. They'll figure out what about soon enough.
