I forget who tweeted it, Barro maybe? But how MONUMENTALLY stupid is it to make Bill's indiscretions and alleged assaults your new campaign focus when your candidate has them in spades. It's amazing.

It's projection and insecurity and narcissism all the way down for him

I've made the observation many times over the past 18 months, but nearly all of his insults of other people are projection or his deepest fears about himself.

It's not even slightly intimidating. Any media empire with the resources of the NYT would jump at the opportunity to get into discovery with Donald Trump, especially in a case where they have (apparently) vetted their sources and made all of the appropriate disclosures in the article.

Am I the only one who thinks the thing with the 10 year old girls is the worst of all? I mean, if there's a video of it, it makes him look like a pedophile. The other stuff is horrible, but can be explained away with "She's lying!," and "Why did she wait 3 decades?," and "It's boys being boys!"

But showing that he looked at a 10 year old girl and immediately had sexual thoughts about her? That's got to be the worst thing yet, right?

It's bad but at least it's just thoughts/words. Far less powerful than the first hand accounts of his actual sexual assaults.

Didn't realize there's video. Goddamn he's so gross.

good thing we have the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to find out these abuses! Thanks, Warren!

I have a really stupid question and I swear I'm just trying to figure out what these guys did and how they benefitted from it. My understanding is that certain Wells Fargo employees made up thousands of fake accounts, correct? Is the claim that shareholders were in essence defrauded (doubly) because it artificially propped up the stock price and the senior execs got more incentive comp?

this guy was CEO of the year last year. they secretly made over a MILLION fake accounts over the previous 5 years under his leadership. they tried to blame it on 5,300 independent people working independently from each other. This increased the value of their company and, yes, the execs reaped the benefits and the congrats from all. they had previously touted their terrific corporate culture, too.

edit: The COO takes over. I'm sure he had no idea, either.

More accounts = artificial growth

Artificial growth presented as market share = increase stock price due to fake market penetration

Fake accounts with real client money having their funds moved around without their knowledge to orchestrate fees (like bounced checks) = profit for Wells = more grow perception = increased stock valuation = client fraud

Greater market penetration as represented by counting accounts backed up by new revenue streams built on essentially fraud = compensation triggers for senior company executives

Bake in firing of ~5000 hourly employees scapegoats (they might not all have been innocent, pure or hourly wage slaves) because of the implementation of the deception, then the problems would seems to fertilize more problems.

Lawsuits for everyone!

<<might be a little to much of an over simplification but I think that is the basics>>

Yeah, there's not a single female on the planet that he doesn't view from the "will I or won't I screw her" standpoint. Don't get me wrong, we all have a little bit of that tendency, but he's so open and brazen about it. He looks at little girls and considers them the same way an MLB scout evaluates a high school freshman.

And the thing where he tried to force himself on the makeup artist in his daughter's bedroom... dear god.
