Odds Trump doesn't *completely* implode tonight seem really low.

A few quick things working against Trump having a not terrible debate

-Glaringly obvious, but the issues that will be discussed are terrible
-He seems committed to having the exactly wrong response to the tape
-He is primed to lash out at all of the wrong people
-He is both dumb and a narcissist, and his pride has been wounded
-Even if you ignore all of that, he hasn't done ANY debate prep, instead just watching cable news and stewing
-All of the above seem ill suited to the townhall format

And by implode I don't mean lose like he did in the first debate over the course of 90 minutes. I mean have multiple moments that will go down as historically awful debate answers, and maybe get the whole of leadership in Congress to unendorse by noon tomorrow.

It seems quite clear at this point that Trump dislikes the Republicans far more than he dislikes the Clintons.

Every 4 years we witness as surrogates for the candidates try to spin things. We all get it. But no surrogates have been as bad as Trump's. They are so blatant about it that it kind of defeats the purpose.
