I remember hearing this Robert Smigel interview after he did that Triumph bit basically mocking how sensitive college kids are about safe places and words and what not.

they're obviously the butt of the joke and he does a pretty convincing job of making them look foolish. I can't remember who the interviewer was but he was disgusted with the kids, and Smigel made what I thought was a pretty good point, which is when we grew up Eddie Murphy was #### this and #### that and for most people that was pretty funny. Whereas now, we look back on that era of comedy in real disgust & shock that it could happen. So he said in many cases the kids are probably right to be a bit more sensitive, but it's a bit of a shock to older folks who are confronted with that when their whole framework of thinking was conditioned on not having to be sensitive about that kinda stuff.

There have been three birds in the screened in back porch now in the the last few days. No survivors. I have two cats that are out there a lot. There is not a hole in the screens anywhere or in the structure. Well there probably has to be but I can't find it. It sort of sucks because I don't want dead birds on the porch. The one sort of looked like a cardinal so that was ok.

I did some internet digging and even though retarded is a clinical term which is how I used it in context of Derrick Rose, it is apparently not in vogue. I'll try not to use retarded as an insult if it inspires such horror among a bunch of super causally racist internet guys- I'll simply say I do think Calvin is a receptionist with an intellectual disability (not as an insult just an observation).

Brother in law visiting. He drank a bunch of wine, said some stupid stuff, and then spent about 30 minutes intermittently loudly farting and laughing. WTF. I think 32 years old is too old to make someone's house your visiting smell like shit. Or maybe I just don't get the humor.

I think you must have skimmed over the part where drank a bunch of wine. That leads to both farting and laughing at inane things, hence its popularity. He may only be casually racist when sober, rather than aromatic.

MAAA WIFE started her new job yesterday, but today was the first day in the actual school she'll be working in. It's a rough situation, these are some really underprivileged kids, but this was just turned over to the Mastery charter system and all the teachers and everyone are really positive about starting.

My wife also is subletting office space in Chestnut Hill for her private practice, so everything is moving really fast now.

Reading the uber thread today inspired me to drive people today. I've been on vacation this week and was bored at 2 today. I drove for an hour and a half and made $33. There is no way in hell people can make a living doing this
