Yes, there are pockets of society that are worse off, especially in the Rust Belt. But on average we have improved access to better medicine, far superior technology, endless entertainment, etc. Yet 47% surveyed say life is worse than it was 50 years ago.

The Trump campaign has not issued a statement in response to Maddow's report.
