Cleveland: The unconventional convention (politics)

it's hard for me to believe that every prisoner deserves to be in prison or every person arrested in jail.

edit: it's also fairly immaterial if they are or aren't deserving of being there. they are in the care of our society and its justice system when they are and deserve fair treatment.

Uncle Dave?!
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Valid opinion haver to half the country Sarah Palin says BLM protesters are not people, are thugs, should get on a boat back to Africa (okay, that last one was subtext).

i see two sides of approaching Palin and her ilk; she is seeking us to respond so she can get clicks/views/money so we should simply avoid even mentioning her. On the other hand, others DO watch/click/pay to see her due to agreeing with her so it's good to know what she thinks. i tend to go with the latter, which is why I still read the Philadelphia Daily News for sports opinions.

It's distressing anyone listens to her let alone takes her seriously.

Roll Call is reporting Trump is picking Pence. Early reports on VP selections aren't always the most accurate though.

Hillary

Next week in Cleveland, Republicans will nominate someone who thinks “Latino outreach” is tweeting out a picture of a taco bowl.

just went to the Federal Election Commission website - wanted to see if there's documents backing up drumpfco's claims of a gusher of recent contributions.

There are five entries for candidate drumpf. Here's #1

The one with actual contributions info has nothing since May, so I guess I'm still waiting

personally, i'd decriminalize more than simply marijuana. general speeding violations, parking issues, drug and alcohol issues all seem to me to not be imprisonable crimes.

It's not so much that you'd go to jail for speeding as you'd go to jail for not paying speeding tickets.

yes, i'd like to stop that. i'd also like to change how police departments function and are funded to ensure this won't be an issue. there are places this is happening.

Trump's options were two lame duck Governors (Pence, Christie) and Newt Gingrich.
