Random threts, what do they post? Do they post things?

It's a quick online application and an 'interview' at the airport for global entry. I scheduled it a couple hours before a flight so I wouldn't have to take an extra trip. I think from start to finish it was like...4-6 weeks? just dependent on when you can get in for an interview.

If you fly out of the country or plan on it in the future, get Global Entry. It comes with PreCheck installed into it.

If you just get Precheck you will not have Globes access.

If you really want to get fancy and skip the lines all together. Look into ClearMe.com if you travel to any of their airports. I can get you the family discount if interested.

Yeah it took a few weeks to get approved. and then you just need an appointment so they can take your picture and fingerprint you, which I did today

$100 for 5 years, pretty good deal if you ask me

Sounds good. Thanks for the info, I've been meaning to do this but I only think about it when I'm at the airport waiting in line being like fuck fuck fuck. I'll have to get the ball rolling on this.

702, that looks awesome but the only airport I fly to semi regularly that supports it is dfw, even then I wind up flying into love half the time. If they expand I'd be all over that

Always have your KTN - Known Traveler Number handy. You get it when you're approved. Make sure you enter that number into 1. Your account with whatever airline you are flying with or 2. There's a box for it when booking your flight.

Sometimes they don't print PreCheck on your BP, 90% of the time if you take it up to the ticket counter and tell them you pay for it and it didn't print on there they can manually add it if you can rattle off your KTN.

As far as Clear goes, Detroit,Minn,LAX,ATL, JFK, LaGuardia, SLC are on the docket soon. Just PM me whenever they reach your area and I can hook it up.

I am going to take my ocean rod to go river fishing tomorrow. It will still have a hook and fish don't care. My river rods are from my pap and pretty sure last used in the 80's. River fishing is something I really never do obviously. Trout and streams.
Do it again!

ocean rods actually work really well for river fishing. it's less annoying to not bother catching the small stuff in rivers, anyways.

kinda weird i haven't fished in 10 years when i used to go like once a week all summer. i don't eat fish, tho, and now my parents won't just eat what i catch and i really don't believe in fishing for sport.
I like teh waether

for the Rick & Morty fans, this narrated transcript of a real court case in GA by the voice actors from the show is hilarious

Hire movers for the big stuff. Ask uhaul and pick the one with highest rating. Usually two big dudes show up and hammer out anything back breaking.

Emptied out my parents' storage unit yesterday, so I'm also sore. Found my old umpire gear!

yeah, it was never really decided. the guy who was selling the canyonero hot tub for $3K got another offer for $5K, so we (she) decided to shop around a bit before deciding. So it's down to a smaller one we saw in doylestown today or the canyonero. Smaller one would be much easier to build the deck for an cheaper to run (and cheaper to buy), but it's also 7 years older. But the mega one would be awesome because reasons.
