i wont tell you!

i dont know who will win the the nomination, but if it is Hill it will be pretty empowering to have voted for the first black president and subsequently and presumably the first woman president.

It's definitely very white, and indeed that was my thought when I saw the ad the first time. And, I don't know if it's Iowa only, but with all the farming imagery, I'd say it is. However, it wouldn't be too difficult to make the same basic ad from footage from campaign events in other states.

The brilliance of the ad is not its persuasiveness. It's a pep rally ad. I think it's designed to make Bernie's supporters get excited about actually showing up and caucusing for him. The subtext of the ad is that Bernie can win.

Anyway, it fits my thesis that if political ads didn't suck (and they don't just suck, they all pretty much look alike, so they suck and they're boring) people wouldn't hate them.

That Hillary ad is pretty great too. I wonder if the Rs have anything like that on their side. The one Cruz ad I saw was tradition bad campaign ad boilerplate, saying nothing about Cruz but only attacking Trump. So it might just as well have been an ad for Rubio. Or Huckabee.

making the case to vote against someone in a 1 on 1 primary is viable; making the case to do it when you have 8 choices...not so much

I understand Bernie to be a sincere guy who wants the best for others. That's a great place to start.

But he lacks an understanding of basic economics, human behavior, and market behaviors. Why has he learned nothing from the failures of all the previous socialist governments?

Bread and Circuses is good campaign stuff, yeah, but it won't sustain the Empire.

Do you understand the basic economic structures of the western european and scandanavian countries?

Wait, I'll answer that for you: no, you clearly don't.

I'm generalizing, but your understanding of how contemporary economies actually work is pretty limited
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

This one is a bit more diverse

Trying to push voters towards Bernie is a weird republican strategy since he polls better against the Republican field than Hillary does.

some poll respondents are voters, many aren't. The socialist label hurts the Bern among 'serious' old-timer voters, most of whom have the same nuanced grasp of socialism that our own TPie does

I guess, but I'd be willing to bet that Bernie would get a higher percentage of Hillary voters in the GE than the percentage of Bernie supporters that Hillary would get. Not that they'd necessarily vote republican, but I'm sure many wouldn't vote for her. I'm not going to.

right, obviously the best way to run an economy is to make sure the richest people have all the money!

Apparently at least 1 vets group has told Turnip to go stuff his "raising money for vets" bullshit, and called him a cowardly loser in the bargain. They won't take any dough he "raises" if he offers it

Hmmmph. I just heard a rumor Bloomberg was thinking about getting into the POTUS race, and today I see this article....Nahhh, must be just a coincidence:

In Trump news, the Falwell endorsement is enough to make you gag. There is an OpEd in the WaPo from Jerry JR that shows why no one should take him, or his endorsement seriously. I would start with his propaganda about Liberty, which is one of the worst Universities in the State and Country value wise. 33in VA is a bad ranking because unlike PA where ever fair size city has a few universities, it is just less so here. Then that same ranking has Liberty at1183 nationally. So when Jr. talks about the excellence of his university, it must be lining his pockets because students are pretty hard pressed to find jobs in a competitive, professional market.

Smooth - Bloomberg said he was considering running conditionallya few days ago, so your rumor is not a rumor. I know, snow. No harm.
