The Dems have more diversity in 5 candidates than the Republicans do in 15.

Before 2006. Reagan was his hero. Endorsed George Allen in 2000 until he switched parties to run against him in 2006 because the stupid Iraq War pissed him off.

Well Webb was right. Bernie's answer was fantasy land.

that Congress wouldn't approve the spending? Sure. But he thinks they'd work with him? That's stupid.

Right but Webb isn't a serious candidate. Bernie can say all of this stuff but until he actually explains how he's going to get any of it through congress it's kind of a waste of breath. He's saying stuff some people want to hear, which makes the other candidates look bad when they take more reasonable positions that actually have a chance of getting through congress. Which is kind of ironic coming from a guy who is supposed to be such a straight shooter.

Pretty much everything brought up on stage tonight won't get through Congress regardless of who the President is. I mean, Obama is more moderate than Hillary and he can't get anything done so I don't really see what your point is?

I also don't see how it's ironic, but he's not delusional. He's said in pretty much every major address he's had that him being President won't change anything and the change needs to come at local and state levels before actually seeing change.

I though Hillary was gross and robotic unless she was talking about maternity leave. She reminds me of the villain politician from Black Sheep. Just totally phony.

Pretty boring and standard debate overall. Chafee probably had the best night, as he actually got people to notice him without whining about how little time he had to talk(looking at you, Jim Webb). Webb was awful, imo.

Bernie struggled on the gun rebuttal from Hillary after having a great initial speech. He was good every time he talked about race issues. I think he's going to get a lot of points for pretty much dismissing the HRC e-mail scandal. He came off incredibly well, but it sucks Hillary stole the spotlight with her "No".

O'Malley was good, but think he's really just setting up for a VP run. He's going to talk about climate change until time ends.

exactly, most of the people on the stage were either Reps at one time or would be if they were running for Prez in the 80's. There is no left anymore, at least not with any chance to win.

I hate to say it, but I do think the dems need to have a Latino on their ticket, especially if Rubio is on the GOP ticket. I really don't want the GOP to make progress with that minority when they've done nothing but try to make their lives miserable. Unfortunately, having rubio on there will probably sway some of them to vote GOP, even though the GOP has been working against them on nearly all fronts.

Most Latinos aren't going to vote for Rubio if he disagrees with them on everything

Right, Cubans and the rest of the Latino population in America are very, very different politically.

I have literally seen it happen. A woman wasn't hired at a company I worked at bc the hiring manager was afraid she was at baby-having age

so you live in a part of the US where paid leave has been implemented for awhile? The more you know

it was signed into law in Philly and implemented a few months back.

I would also assume it could just be his company policy; that would basically have no impact on having a law then. biased people will still exist regardless of the law. doesn't mean we shouldn't do it.

Not most, but most isn't needed to swing a close election.
