A friend and last night were positing RBG as basically indestructible. Shit.

Meanwhile here's Edsall writing about Jim Webb. The piece starts out well but then sort of disintegrates.

This is probably obvious, but it seems to me that the problem goes something like this: you can't pay the price of admission to national politics without doing things that Hillary happily does, but Jim Webb and Elizabeth Warren either won't do, or will do poorly/with obvious and transparent regret and disgust. Of course if they did those things, it would be impossible for them to advance the meaningful populist economic agenda that makes them theoretically compelling candidates.
