there are different types of fudge- peanut butter, chocolate, mint, etc.
but you can also get hot fudge sundaes.

The unifying characteristic of different types of fudge are their rich, creamy texture. Fudge topping uses the word fudge to highlight its richer, creamier nature than its syrup brethren.
