Dang, that sucks. So I'm not a COMPLETE jerk I'll wait until tomorrow to post advice on how to avoid these situations (well, the first one anyone) in the future.

I was laughing during my "recorded statement" with the insurance company today. It is all quite ridiculous. That particular intersection and its adjacent ramps are notoriously dangerous. The flowers and teddy bears attached to nearby poles remind me it could have been much worse. It's only money.

So we've befriended a great bartender here named jimmy. He's 24 and from Haiti and he loves boxing. He was sad when I told him the rocky statue is no more. Anyway I been tipping him $1-1.50 every drink and today he came up to me and gave me a $25 amex gift card that his friend gave him (the friend won a contest). He says he can't use it in this country. I kept saying no but he was insistent. It's more than ive tipped him total thus far!

I'm gonna buy a boxing book or something and send it to him. What a kid
