The anesthesia wore off during my colonoscopy yesterday. Woke up on the table with a tube up my ass. I've only been put under twice for medical procedures and both times I've woken up mid procedure, I think I'm going to have to start telling them about this because it's really sort of defeating the purpose of being knocked out for this stuff.

you should definitely tell your doc before any future procedures. there was a pretty scary article in the Atlantic a while back about people who wake up during surgery and I think they can take a different approach for those people (like you?)
