You goofed.

Tell the Mrs I'm sorry I didn't get back to her about the hiking boots. I've been super swamped with my sister visiting and the prep for that.

where did this idea that old people get a pass for being racist or that they can say racist language because they are old and 'everyone' said that stuff??? no, not everyone did, and times change. mad men's sorta about people dealin' with that fact.

people defendin' Paula Deen YALL:
The Food Network’s Facebook page swelled with Deen supporters who disagreed with the punishment meted out by network executives.

“Everybody in the South over 60 used the N-word at some time or the other in the past,” wrote Dick Jackson, a white man from Missouri.

“No more ‘Chopped’ for me, and I suspect thousands like me,” he said, referring to a popular Food Network show.

In the line Saturday, some pointed out that some African-Americans regularly used the word Ms. Deen had admitted to saying.

“I don’t understand why some people can use it and others can’t,” said Rebecca Beckerwerth, 55, a North Carolina native who lives in Arizona and had made reservations at the restaurant Friday.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO SAY IT REBECCA?! No one's saying you can't say it, but there will be consequences if you do.

Lord yes. Maybe if you're in your 80s you deserve some sort of pass, with just a shake of the head when it happens. But she was born in 1947, not 1847.

A friend of mine was trying to tell me that N-word was not racist as long as it ended with an "a" and not an "er". I know that term is slang for a lot of people, but I still don't feel comfortable saying/hearing it. The word was formed in hate and should die.

Based on my commute on the El, that word isn't going away anytime soon. I hear it at least a dozen or more times on any given day spoken by African Americans. Either speaking to each other or singing out loud.

Some guy I met last night said he doesn't like or watch basketball because it is a N sport. That's the last time I will be seeing him hopefully.

I get called nigga about once a month I'd say. the younger generation seems to use it pretty openly & interchangeably. I think that explains why French Montana, 100% Arab, can be popular and say it 100X times an album.

I didn't know "chicken" was a term for money until last week.

"Scratch" has of course been used for a long time to signify "money".

"Chicken scratch" has a variety of usages, including a mixture of bird feed, poor penmanship, etc.

The use of "chicken "for takes these commonly combined terms and merely transplants the mean from one half of the expression to the other.

This might even make sense if I hadn't just made it up.

been sitting here an hour waiting for the lady to get ready so we can get out of the house. feel like she's not really that close to being done since her hair is still wet and she's still in a bath robe.
