Wasn't a fan. Suicide was our game of choice. Do kids still play it or did that go away with toy guns and anything else considered dangerous?

We played this but called it Wall Ball. I remember playing for hours against the side of the TAC House at Walker Field in Upper Merion. Then someone got hurt and a few weeks later there was a "No Ball Playing" sign on our wall.

We called it wall ball as well, always with a racquet ball because it was faster and hurt more. We played the "Butts up!" version, which we tried to make as brutal as possible. If remember if you really hated a guy, you'd aim for the back of his knee or calf rather than his butt if he got butts up. He'd have a welt for days. So many tears and fist fights.

I think I remember playing bombardment once, but I seem to remember that it was a different game altogether than dodgeball.

I remember something called Rolling Bombardment in elementary school gym class. Basically the teacher just lined up pins on opposite baselines and each side would have to guard their pins from being knocked over while trying to knock over the other team's with those standard rubber recess balls.

Wall ball was brutal. Also called it "Butts Up"

King of the Mountain was also a good violent game of my youth.

We called it "suicide" when you got hit with the ball before touching the wall, we called it "wall ball" when you threw it at the wall instead of the person

I think we always threw it at the wall, but after a person got three "outs" they had to stand still facing the wall and everyone else got a chance to peg them from about 20 feet away.

Same, and you also got thrown at if your throw to the wall didn't get there on the fly. Since no one wanted their throw caught on the fly everyone threw low, so this was a nice added degree of difficulty. We'd play before track practice in an old wrestling room where half the padding was torn up. So many injuries, I remember one kid knocking out a bunch of teeth, lots of cuts and bruises, I remember sliding on the wood floor and catching a nail in the calf.

We played "suey." We had the following rules.

-If someone caught your throw off the wall with two hands, then he could peg you for an out unless you got to the wall first.
-If someone caught your throw off the wall with one hand, they could peg anyone of their choosing for an out unless they got to the wall first.
-After someone got three outs, everyone who was playing got to throw at them from about 20 feet away.

If I were on the wall about to get pegged (pip?), I would cover the back of my head and hope no one got my nads. Then there was usually the jerkoff older kid who played that would beam it as hard as he could at someone no matter how close they were to him.

We were brutal throwing at each other too, you had to put your hands on the wall, bend slightly with feet shoulder width apart and duck your head down. Then you'd try to throw it so you'd hit his nuts or back of the inner thigh. Surprisingly we never had any fights or anything. We all respected the game too much for that.

I forgot about throwing to the wall on the fly. Yeah, some kids I used to play with had a relay rule where you could throw it to them and they would hit the wall. It was a novel idea at the time and seemed to serve a purpose. But people quickly made backroom deals making the relay rule as stupid as it sounds.

I hated suicide, but I was fairly good at it.

This post would be really weird out of context.
