Sometimes people are just crazy with it. Other times, shit just happens. I had close to 10K in debt that I just recently paid off. For years I always paid everything off in full every month, so credit cards were never a problem. But after a while (and a paycut thanks obama) I just wasn't making enough money for everyday living. Then my hours at work were cut, rent goes up, car trouble, school, etc. Then I was unemployed and using it for just about everything while struggling just to pay rent. The interest on top of that....it can happen quick. Now that I have it paid off, I haven't touched it. I know the rewards are enticing, but I really don't think it's worth it. I honestly don't think most people realize all the stuff they buy on a CC that they wouldn't with cash. I'm not even talking about big, crazy purchases, but little things here and there that just add up to a waste. I know I didn't realize it until I stopped using it. I find that now I avoid buying stuff I don't really need (or even really want) when I know it's coming directly out of my account.

Concur with Slowhand, I was in a similar situation (mostly because I was an immature idiot during college and post-graduate until I met my wife) and I've significantly scaled back my credit card purchases. I don't buy much new stuff and have been saving like crazy.

Also, I've purchased one case of beer since the new year. That certainly helps the wallet.

They're supposedly actually usable to buy things at some places but such places are so few and far between that their only real value at the moment is as a speculative investment.

I kinda just thought catcalling was some satirical attribute of construction workers and sleazebags but I've seen like six different girls talking about getting cat-called today or yesterday
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

I always see girls talking about being cat-called on Twitter or Facebook but I have never actually seen any girl or guy get cat-called

that kind of reminds me of when I was reading Diaz's Life of Oscar Wao. he kept writing off various forms of doggishness as a harmless ethnic attribute, but it's like, maybe you guys are total dicks and should stop?
