Damn.... I still use the left shift even for those. Sometimes I use my thumb on the shift key but mostly I still use the pinky.

actually, now that I'm typing and not thinking about it, I use the right shift for a lot more than that. pretty much anytime I need to capitalize something I'm hitting with my left.

i still have no idea how i pronounce "coupon" because every time I think about it the right answer flies out of my head

oh well

Never knew about shift+ins in vi. I just tried it out and it seems to paste from a different buffer than the usual one when I do ctrl+shift+v. There's so much about vi that I'll probably never bother to learn.

I use Ctrl+Insert for the copy. That and Alt+Ctrl+Delete are probably the only times I use the right Ctrl key

td, I use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V all the time...when it's Windows

I'm sure there's an on-line typing analysis website out there, and if someone posted a link to it, we could easily reduce PM productivity to near zero.

I say Q-pon when I say it without thinking and KOO-pon when I'm being silly, which I think is probably backwards

Imagine how awful typing would be if the keys were in alphabetical order

80 wpm, with four errors in a minute, so 76 wpm adjusted. Though I corrected my own mistakes, so it was 80 wpm with corrections - it's not fair to dock me for them...

I don't think it would be that bad. The Qwerty layout was created in order to slow typists down, because they would otherwise bind up the arms on mechanical typewriters.

I think it's gone again. The tender crisp is pretty decent.

we would have grown up learning and getting used to it, and then someone would have pondered "imagine if the letters q,w,e,r,t,y were all right next to each other, how weird would that be?"

Franzke used to say cue-pon and it enraged me because he's so good at saying everything else. Last season he finally figured it out.

I thought only Flo Rida was allowed to do stuff like that.
