Yeah I really don't get this. The GOP will be blamed for us going over the cliff, after which Obama can propose cutting taxes on people under 250K, no?

Psycho Kansas Republican Tim Huelskamp propped up as Morning Joe's House punching bag, apparently one of the few cockroaches that didn't scuttle out of town already. Punchable face for sure.

Congrats Tim, you're the face of American governmental dysfunction. He doesn't deserve the piling on now (he's also essentially being blamed for Sandy Hook, and he's obliging by sticking to "it's not a gun problem" - the man has schoolchildren, what a cretin, even fucktard Scarborough's pissing on him), but he's there, and that's that

'Tonight in Washington, Republicans are wasting our time'

by focusing on Plan B, something that wouldn't have passed either chamber or gone past the Prez, Boehner has allowed the Prez to have all the cards. he really is the tops. early xmas present, i guess?

Sounds like it was more the rank and file than Boehner, no? Really not seeing the logic of their play here

Gave away the little leverage they had

yes, but his and the leadership's job is to hit them up on the side of the head. plus, that he focused on it was a complete waste of time

Some pretty funny tweets on Huelskamp's appearance. like "Tim Huelskamp answers the musical question, "What's the Matter With Kansas?"

so Joe Scarborough is still not open to the idea that Republicans may be led around by the crazies. It's not crazy to think that 50% of income is taken from you, blah blah blah, etc

missing the boat

It's like a bizarro version of Mr Smith Goes to Washington, with the Republican caucus bravely fighting collectively for Claude Rains' pernicious dam project, and losing

Scarborough's resident goofballs confidently evaluating this as a tactical stumble. Uhhhm, ok, no, it's more than that

Glad I wasn't the only one who saw this interview. Really incredible to watch and then everyone's comments afterwards. I was a little disappointed that no one took him to task for the four-five references to Harry Reid being out of town and going to Hawaii, which he was doing to make it seem like Reid was going on vacation and not attending the funeral of the President Pro Tempore.

I think they reacted harsher than that. At least two of them said "Wow" as they were going to commercial break and Eugene Robinson called it one of the most absurd things he had ever seen.

a McConnell aide laying defeat of Plan B at the feet of Democrats.

Apparently the same zoonosis infecting House Republicans has spilled over to the Senate minority
