Up to 4 F's out of the first 12. Amazing how I can spend an entire class going over how to do something AND there's a great example in the book of how to do it, and people just do something completely different.
After the Minersville school district vs. Gobitis case, many objections to the salute of our flag were presented and modifications were made in the state of West Virginia, but no concession was made to Jehovah's witnesses, and If one of them failed to conform, the punishment was expulsion and the child might have been proceeded against as a delinquent, meanwhile parents were reliable and if guilty subject to fine not exceeding $50 and jail term not exceeding 30 days. Barnette a Jehovah Witness brought the case to the West Virginia Supreme Court, which decided that West Virginia's School Boards act of the obligatory salute of the flag was unconstitutional; holding for Barnette.

get used to it. it'll happen every time. there are times where i'd put an exact replica of one of the problem on the board before they started and there would still be 5-10% of the class getting it wrong.
