movie theater popcorn/soda prices are so insane.

that reminds me of an aggravating situation I wanted to rant about. Was at the movies with The Kid. Of course, as soon as the movie starts he wants popcorn. So I go out and there's two lines- both pretty crowded. I pick the shorter of the two. In that line, there's four young adults- early 20s, I'd say- all standing side by side. My mental line calculator counted them for one, maybe two people.

Then it's their turn. They order ONE BY ONE. EACH ONE OF THEM GETS THE SAME EXACT THING- a small popcorn and a small soda. And each any every one of them pays with cash. Which they don't start retrieving until the clerk tells them their total, which, if you've been following, IS THE EXACT SAME PRICE FOR EACH ONE OF THEM. So the clerk tells them "$8.60" or whatever it was. At this point each and every one of them opens up their purse, or gets out their wallet and starts hunting through their pocket for change. IT WAS MADDENING as I watched the other line move along. HEY YOU'RE ADULTS- WHY DON'T YOU ORDER A COUPLE LARGE POPCORNS AND ALL YOUR SODAS TOGETHER AND ONE PERSON PAYS AND EVERYONE GIVES THEM MONEY. If you're familiar with movie theater prices, one large is about 3x the size of a small and about two bucks more. I was ready to strangle.

what you do is smuggle in food. you put candy in your pocket. if you have water, you have that put in your lady's pocketbook.

i've smuggled in thousands of chk nugz in my pockets into movie theaters in just the last few years

are you suggesting popcorn isn't a necessary part of the whole movie theater experience

Seriously, don't think I've ever gone to a movie theater and not gotten popcorn. It's expensive, but totally worth it. The new theater in Pottstown has unlimited refills on any size bag. Buy a small, and make a trip just before the previews end to top off the bag. It's amazing.

one time me and pals brought a pizza in. Just carried the dominos box right in.

Another time we snuck in a six pack.

Also don't like popcorn really.
