I don't like spiders, but I think the board has a decent understanding of my position on stinkbugs.

Yeah, it's a garden orb weaver. It's well over an inch, if we're including the legs. The body itself is close to half an inch.

I'm aware it's harmless, and that it eats bugs, which is why I haven't killed it. But I don't have to like it.

Oh I walk up the stairs swinging my arm in front of me so I don't get a surprise web in the face, and I open the door and get in as quick as possible (it's LITERALLY 2 feet from the door) so it doesn't leap at me and try to eat my eyeballs. I know this is not rational, but it's been keeping that bigass spider alive for the past 2 weeks so it damn well better appreciate it. (stinkbugs, hint hint)

And if I end up with bigass spiders AND stinkbugs I'll burn down the building.

My buddy got a bolt in some Qdoba once and didn't force the issue past a free meal or something. I was crestfallen. The ensuing parties would have been mythical

Jeez, td, she could have pierced her cheek straight through.

Can she still pierce her cheek straight through?

At any rate she'll never be able to eat a McDonald's chicken sandwich with confidence again, and she'll probably end up going to Chick-Fil-A and be so racked with guilt that she throws herself off a bridge. I mean, I'm not hoping she throws herself off a bridge, but any rational person would agree this is a likely scenario.

Why wouldn't you? I mean, what are the odds that there are two bits of metal in the sandwich?
