learn python the hard way is a great place to start IMO. www.udacity.com has a few web basic courses that center around Python and www.khanacademy.org uses python in it's computer science stuff. Google has a free class out there too (Google is based on python basically)

I know a lot of people (if you're not gonna do filmmaking) who are just using Instagram now to basically document something every day. Go home, take a funny picture, and write a story about it. Or maybe you see something funny at the grocery store. Take a picture, put it on Instagram, then write a story about it. Keep a daily journal or something.

I was going to have pizza at Sarina's for lunch and when I got there, someone was putting up a new sign for a different pizza place. I had lunch there a week ago with no indication of it closing, what the fuck?

Are you into architecture at all? Architecture school is hard and all, but doing sketches of buildings (either real or imagined) is pretty fun to me. Try ballparks, even. Think I've done a few sketches of places, as well as made like 15 SketchUp models of parks of my own creation.
I was going to suggest an instrument, but you said you don't have rhythm, so that's out. My friend picked up a bass, and can do some rudimentary parts after a month, or so.

if you don't already juggle, it's damn fun to learn. this will only take like a week tops, though

Bill you should grow vegetables and herbs and stuff in your back yard. It's fun and you can eat real good salads and spice up your spaghetti sauce and other sauces with garden fresh herbs. It's like a victory garden too so you'd be all patriotic and stuff to boot.
