I like New Orleans over Austin too, but summer in either place can be tough. Also, New Orleans there's a slight risk of a hurricane.

I think it's important to note that in addition to drinking, there are lots of titty bars. Also, there are some truly outstanding world class restaurants in New Orleans. I love Herbsaint. And when I go over Labor Day weekend, I can't wait to try Cochon. Don't spend all your time in the French Quarter.

Both Austin and New Orleans will be ridiculous during the summer in terms of the heat, humidity, and mosquitos.

I'm watching "vintage" episodes of Real Word: New Orleans right now. Pumping myself up.

comical to me is when you go to a country that's been hit by inflation like Prague, where you're paying 500 Korunas for a beer and they still feel the need to provide you with change that represents a fraction of 1 Koruna.
