Good for you (sucker).

TAXES ARE TOO DAMN HIGH seems to be the main reason people run for school board around here. Have a feeling that won't be your only plank.

good article indeed. but i have a hard time with his "my teams never win" schtick when he's experienced 10 championships in his 40 years of life.

although the thing about his son was hilarious.

In Arkansas, including our district, the school board has more or less been a rubber stamp. In addition, there's really no functional PTA or PTA like organization. I think we need more accountability and parent participation in how our school is run.

Here's a campaign slogan you can use free of charge:

We Need More Smarter Teachers

More Smarter Teachers = More Smarter Children

You can be the More Smarter candidate.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

Wrestling fans are the absolute best. Guy in front of me (wearing a "chubby, bearded, tattooed, and awesome" shirt) just bragged that his friend's newly purchased 2X shirt would be a half shirt on him.

There's a new cue place in town, and we tried it today. It's pretty good. I'd have to say it's still a notch behind Backyard Barbecue, which is world class. But the new place, Crayton's, is less expensive (though not by much) and has much, much better service. Backyard has great pie and beans.

My roommate here is one of the worst kind of people. He likes the Heat because of Lebron. He has a Braves, Nationals, and Marlins hat. Likes the Cubs. He says he likes the Falcons too but has mini fat heads of Gates and Vernon Davis. He also likes the Penguins.

He's from bumble Indiana and wants to get a tattoo on his chest that says "where there is a will there is a way." His name is Will.
