The opening guitar riff of Sweet Child of Mine is the most instantly-recognizable of any song ever, by far. I can't even think of anything else in the same ballpark.

Smoke on the Water and Layla are contenders.

My brother just got back from a year in Afghanistan about two weeks ago. Today he tells me I'm going to be an uncle.

Uh...pretty quick turnaround time, no? I'm not sure this is on the up and up.

I advise discretion in this situation.

Rock and Roll is up there too, just for the drums. Wipeout would be too if the name of the song weren't announced before the drums even begin.

I think we could come up with about six dozen without thinking about it too hard.

Purple Haze; Something by Stevie Ray Vaughan; Mountain Jam; The Immigrant Song; Iron Man; Inna Gadda Davida, etc., etc., etc.

Yea...I kind of joked with him about this already, so that's probably out. But seriously, I might just get a lock of hair and run the test on my own.

Yeah, no big deal. It was kinda fun to come up with some of those though.
