Maybe it's a scare tactic to raise the price.

Do booze or caffeine count?

I don't think I could go without caffeine for Lent

I know it's lame, but I'm giving up sweets for lent. Baked goods, candy (and soda, but I really don't drink soda so I'm not really anything up on that score.)

Kevin - This was a well-executed paper on the data from Wilkinson & Pickett and Judt's analysis. This well-written paper was probably the best in the class because it succcintly cites the important data relationships and elaborates on their implications for educational policy and practice...

Give up booze then have a nice Evan Williams on April 8 after Chole goes 8 IP, 3 H, 1 ER in a 4-1 win over the Buccos.

a response on my sister's (giving up Oreos) Facebook timeline:
I always have mixed feelings when people give sweets or unhealthy foods up for Lent. The purpose for giving up something for Lent is so that it brings you closer to the Lord - in time in prayer and in the Word. And, the money that is spent on whatever it is you're giving up (if it is something that can be purchased through money) should be going towards the church to further the Lord's Kingdom. Over the past decade a lot of people give up certain unhealthy foods in hopes to lose weight or something like that, but that shouldn't be the intention in mind at all. It should be like a cherry on top, ya know? A little nice something extra that comes along with it. I pray that you're giving these Oreos up for the right reasons! :)

I got this from my other professor. I am a good student!

Alex – Fantastic opening paragraph! Love it! Good job identifying areas of need for the department. Solid job! Enjoyed reading your annual fund letter.

You really do enough drugs to give it up for lent? Perhaps you'd be better off picking up rehab for lent
