imo, Italian food is a lot more ubiquitous than it is particularly great

I'd prefer my corner have an Indian, Japanese, Mexican, Korean, or Vietnamese place than yet another pizza joint

i'm with this guy. i can only eat pasta so many ways before it all tastes the same.

pizza is the shit. some roasts cooked in a sauce/gravy is pretty good, too. but i'd much rather grab some mexican or korean than italian.

I agree that generic Chinese or Mexican is better than generic Italian, but I don't think their upper echelon stuff stacks up
