Former Costco employee here. This shit happens more often than you would think. Worst is when people take used 20 oz cups from the trash and fill 'em up for themselves. I've seen repeat offenders have their membership revoked with a "permanent" ban over this kind of stuff.

Talking about Layne Staley in the dead people thread got me to thinking how pumped up I was when I thought AiC was going to do a real get together. Then Staley was dead a few months after the reuniting seemed promising. Cantrell is super talented but that band kicked so much ass and was so freakin original. They could have been so much bigger and still in that short time they are still one of the greatest rock groups of all time.

Last night I wanted to pass out around nine o'clock. I battled through it and decided to go to bed around midnight. Then I couldn't go to sleep. I think that is ironic- definitely in the way most people understand the word nowadays, but maybe also in the real way.

not unLEARNING, unTAUGHT. Every phone call from a customer is now viewed as a potential sales opportunity. You can uncover this through blatant blind pitches (which we've all heard, like the obligatory "credit protection insurance" speech) or by keeping the customer talking, and eventually they may hit on something that dovetails with something you can sell them. These CSRs get in big big trouble if they don't follow their scripts to try to drive you to additional ways to part with your money.

Which Costco did you work at? I worked at KoP and I can vouch for similar situations. The amount of times I had to argue with people who only wanted a hot dog...IT'S $1.50 FOR A HOT DOG AND A SODA YOU DICKS DEAL WITH IT
