it wasn't even a big crash landing or anything, just fell in a weird spot. and a couple years ago when we were hanging out i fell off a stoop right onto my back and had spasms for like three weeks. we have bad luck with stoops.

p.s. there's talk of doing the 9-9-9 for one of the 4:00 ballgames, i.e. 9 hot dogs and 9 beers in 9 innings, rules being that you have from the final out of the previous inning to the first pitch of the following inning to eat one and drink one. gotta pace yourself but if there's an inning-ending double play it's a haul trying to finish them off. hot dogs get tough in the late innings. beers are tough for me in the early going because i can't chug for crap. last time i did it was a Phils-Astros game that turned into a Hamels-Oswalt pitcher's duel. i think that time one person passed out, a few of us got the job done and one guy had already done the regular one a year prior so he stepped it up to footlongs and pounders. i think i'm too far removed from my prime to try that but i mighta been able to pull it off that day.

we were fortunate that the Phils won on the road that day; if the home team goes into the 9th with a lead and gets a quick 1-2-3 with their closer it could be a disaster.

games for the day in question are Rays-Indians and Brewers-Giants. things could and probably will change before then but if the rotations stay the same it's gonna be Wade Davis vs. Masterson and Narveson vs. Bumgarner. leaning toward the former personally, partly because I think getting drunk while watching the Giants is a recipe for me getting really pissed off about last year.

i couldn't carry on past the third, maybe the fourth inning. that alone would add at least 20% to my body mass

i can't drink fucking beers saturday. i'll die going from my tattoo appointment to AC.

so for some reason, I need to get my doctor to tell the orthopedic people that it's ok to fix me, but my doctor's office isn't answering their phones
