It's actually not that bad. A tank of gas to go from just north of Lebanon to Ocean City MD with 10 people, luggage and towing a 25 foot camper.

If you're in college (or went to college), you know that the worst part of writing a paper is trying to crank out a bibliography/works cited page at the very end when you're brain dead and running late for class. A group of ambitious young students at the University of Waterloo want to bring an end to that with Quick Cite, which lets you use the camera on an iOS or Android smartphone to scan a barcode and have the app email you a properly-formatted entry (in MLA, APA, Chicago, or IEEE formats)

I can dig it, but it's really not that bad anymore. There's websites where you can just type in the ISBN and it will give you the proper formatted entry.

I never really read more than one book to get my information in college. Sure, I would cite multiple sources, but all I really needed for a 10-12 page paper was one reading source and the internet. Many times I would go to wikipedia to look up what sources they used to write the article and just steal them.

the reason i asked is becasue there is this sweet group trip in colorado that the organization i volunteer for runs. you get to go hiking for a week in the rockies and they provide all the food, equipment (tents, packs, etc.), and the guides for only $249/person. each trip has like 15 people in it. so the gas for each car would be split between 4 or 5 people.

anyways, i think it is an amazing deal.

You should budget for food on the way, and you'll probably want to stop at least once for the night.

Sometimes I try to catch up with the random thoughts thread by reading it backwards instead of finding the last post I read and reading forward. Sometimes that works and other times it doesn't

I tried to get a shamrock shake last weekend. They were advertised in the store but all out at the time. I decided on a regular vanilla milkshake instead.

It's been a long time since I've had a McDonald's shake and was disturbed to be handed something that looks like this:

Why do they have to go and mess things up. The McD's shake is too thin to support the whipped cream and cherry. It just sinks right in. I'm gonna be really mad if they do that to my shamrock shake (when they're finally back "in stock").

It's amazing how many lyrics from Nelly's "Country Grammar" I still have memorized, both for a white person and for not having listened to the album in 10 years.
