I just had an hour debate about why Edwin Jackson is a mediocre pitcher. The debate against me was that a pitcher cannot be average if they had a no-hitter. I was stymied.

Edwin Jackson has a career 4.62 ERA and 1.485 WHIP. If that's not an average major league pitcher, I don't know what is.

Dude, you act like it's easy to throw a no-hitter while walking or hitting 9 people.

Not just any pitcher can do that! What, you think Bud Smith could throw a no-hitter or something?

I'm not sure whomever you were engaged in this discussion with understands the meaning of the term 'average'. Since you were stymied, maybe you as well? :(
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

XPN is so frustrating sometimes, one moment they're playing a really cool song and then after the next song you're like "WTF is this crap?"

When I woke up today I was still mad about Edwin Jackson not being considered average. Then I saw that the Girl Next Door was on and I felt a little better. And just now I realized we're gonna be getting 100 wings today so I feel a lot better.

I have a 6:15 cross-country flight the morning after the Super Bowl. The people who book travel at my company have an Andre Waters-esque mean streak in them.

The Very Best of War blares as we continue to get the baby's room ready.

By "War" I mean the '70s funk band, not military conflict.

with Eric Burdon as frontman?

I remember enjoying this album, beyond Spill the Wine:

He was only with them for two albums, and is represented by only two songs on this collection, "Spill the Wine" obviously being one of them.

The post-Burdon stuff ("Low Rider," "Cisco Kid," "Why Can't We Be Friends," "Slippin' into Darkness," etc.) is mostly better anyway.

That's nice. I don't get why all cars haven't done it for 20 years.

Environmental factors. Turning on the headlights (which includes the headlights and all taillights) might cost a couple hundred watts of energy and all that comes from the engine, so gas consumption increases and fuel economy decreases. One solution was having dedicated low watt LEDs as DRLs.

Also, people complain about glare. GM's had daytime running lights since 95. Canada has required DRLs since 1990 and they don't have those same glare complaints though. Maybe people just got used to them, I dunno.

I like them personally.
