it looks like you are surprised that someone associated with the X games is a moron.

I knew one of Sal Masekela's cousins. His father is renowned South African Jazz musician Hugh Masekela--Grazin' the Grass.

The other sixties era not exactly one hit wonder but mostly known for one song I have an odd connection with is my sister went to nursery school with Melanie's (Look what they've done to my song/I gotta brand new pair of roller skates) daughter.

Made some nice cash at the bar last night, but there were two groups of people that accounted for almost $200 in business and didn't tip a dollar. I almost cried when the one group of 20 somethings from the Lubavitch temple down the street strolled in. Usually one or two of the guys stops in on a weekend night, last night the whole crew showed up at once. Then there was the family reunion with the pain in the ass, cheap uncle who insisted on ordering all the drinks and then not tipping.

A slap in the face type of night.

there's a bowling thread on the first page and i commented on that there too, you know! no biggie

i love bowling, of course, so maybe Im the only one on here that watches the pba. i didn't think he did a great job, but he did seem to start to get into it. some of his jokes fell pretty flat and he was incredibly lacking in knowledge about the sport. still, i think he worked out.

I saw this movie Blow last night with Johnny Depp about this real life drug dealer who had it all and lost it all and too bad so sad that's how it goes.

Anyways one of the characters (Played by the Pee Wee Herman cat!!!) was using a roach clip. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Do you dopers still use them?

Folks didn't even use them a lot back in the 70s as I recall but I do remember all the alligator clips kept getting stolen from the electric shop at school and a lot of folks stole those forcep thingies from hospitals.

You could tip a drug dealer with a roach clip I guess.

I'm not even sure what an actual roach clip looks like. Is it those alligator clips? I've used a bobby pin before.

I don't know either. Do they still have "Head Shops?" I doubt it because "drug paraphernalia" is illegal now. Anyways, I guess they sold official MLB licenced roach clips in those places along with the bongs and incense and stuff. But the guys I knew just used the alligator clips they stole or the stolen forceps thingies. That is, when anyone actually even used that stuff which I don't think happened all that often. I do remember the heavier users had the tell-tale stain on their joint holding fingers (index and thumb).

I used to really like the college basketball thread. I'd ramble drunkenly about something dumb. uncle milt would say sarcastic things about Villanova. pacino would be all bitter about Temple and Villanova. PittFan03 would randomly tell us the final score to Pitt games as if we didn't have access to ESPN.
