what do you say to someone who is going to make a pretty huge decision that you have voiced incredibly strong opinion to in hopes that he does the opposite but tells you essentially i value you your opinion (and this case several others) but i am going to do this anyways? this decision will have negative financial impact and lower morale in the organization you work with.

Well, given just that information, you support him and work to see that the decision has the best possible outcome. Anything less would be petty. I suppose if there's any way to institutionally record your objections, fine, but other than that the time for suggestion has passed, so move on as strongly as you can.

If you're Paul Bako you don't just let the fastball sail on by you because you wanted a curveball. OK, if you're Bako maybe the fastball sails on by you anyway, but we're talking about intention here.

Like when Homer had that one chili pepper and went on a vision quest with a Johnny Cash-voiced coyote as his guide

Not a vision quest, just settling things with a few profs that I've been talking with about grad school recs, and completely unrelated to the Chipotle comment.

I may have found a way to get back to school easily and cheaply. I'm going to find out more about it tomorrow. And then there's the potential advancement of the black chick situation.

Godspeed, Jerz.

Thanks

You know what I can't wait for

A "shock draw" against England in the World Cup

Their press will be the best thing ever after that happens

When the person on the aisle seat on an Amtrak open up a laptop, the person on the window seat should offer to plug it in to the outlet, doncha think?
